DIRECTIONS: from SYDNEY. take exit8 off HWY125 towards

Louisbourg onto HWY22. Drive southeast along this road, turning right

onto New Boston Road, which is approximately 1.5km after you

cross the Albert Bridge. follow New Boston road, a well maintained

dirt road about 3km, to a dirt trail leading up to your right at:

45 N 58.791 060 W 01.740. Park here.

trail description: short uphill hike along a good dirt trail to wooden
bridge over the stream. The lower falls is just downstream, the
middle falls just upstream. A short hike along the edge of the brook
will take you to the base of the upper falls. (pictured above)

Lower Devils Hill Falls


Situated near the Mira River, at Albert Bridge. The community was
previously named Mira Ferry for the location of a small ferry
crossing the river on the road between Sydney and Louisbourg. It
was later named for Albert Munro, the son of William Henry Munro,
Nova Scotia's representative in the British Parliament who used his
influence to have the ferry replaced with a bridge in 1849. The
Union Church in Mira Ferry was built in 1857, and is the oldest
Presbyterian Church in Cape Breton

Nearby, you may also want to visit the Mira River Provincial Park.
This fully serviced campground features 148 overnight sites.
Amenities here include showers, fire grills, wood, ice, pop.
Freshwater beaches, boat launch, change rooms, trail, playground,
pirate boat, games area, and a day-use picnic area. Leashed pets
are permitted. The park is open from June 8 - Sept. 10 for the
2012 Season.
